A retail source close to GameStop has reported that the store will be allegedly recalling all their Wii U basic sets one week after E3, according to Kotaku. The news comes after a NeoGAF user received an email at work saying that all Wii U basic sets will be recalled, which leads us to ask whether Nintendo has finally dropped the ball on the 8gb hardware?

Kotaku’s source has revealed that all new and unopened Wii U basic packages are to be recalled on June 18. GameStop has been contacted for an official comment but have yet to respond. The official statement is as follows:
