Ubisoft’s newest dance title for Wii U and Wii, Just Dance 2014 has been working up a calorie-burning storm since its release on October 4, but the latest television advert is cooking up a grim sweat with the general public. The UK TV advert – which has been on air for over a fortnight advertising the Wii U and Wii platforms – has been raising some suspicious eyebrows over misheard Nicki Minaj lyrics, which seem to state the racial slur N*****.

Though Minaj’s song Starships has topped the charts for well over a year, and is one of the best-selling singles of all time, the lyrics – in neither the clean or explicit version – state the racial slur, and in fact say: “My name is Onika, you can call me Nicki.” However, some people have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns, as various articles report.
