In the aftermath of today’s big announcement that Nintendo will be releasing an update to incorporate Miiverse and Nintendo Network IDs on the 3DS, Nintendo UK has announced that after 3DS users register a Nintendo Network ID, they will be unable to change their system’s region. In addition to this, users will be unable to use multiple currencies in the Nintendo eShop. Any currency that does not correspond to the country that your system is registered in will be deleted and no longer usable on your 3DS, so Nintendo encourages you to use up these funds beforehand.
