In what is without a doubt our geekiest podcast ever, listen to Cycle Computing CEO Jason Stowe explain how his company harnessed more than 150,000 Amazon Web Services cores to simulate and analyze 205,000 organic compounds in less than a day.

This is some serious, amazing science getting done for a fraction of the cost it would have taken if researchers had to buy the gear needed to crunch all those numbers. Super cool.

Also Derrick Harris and I talk about all the Amazon Web Services news coming out of Las Vegas this week.

Oh, and attention networking hardware makers:  Facebook(s fb) thinks we’re this close to open-source switches.

So, if you missed any or all of these headlines —  and even if you didn’t — get comfy and tune on in.
