Nintendo has taken steps to cancel the NES Remix content after an exploit was found in the game. The challenge asked Nintendo fans to set their fastest times in Remix I Stage 4 “Collect all the Coins”. However, the contest was cancelled after players soon found an exploit which allowed them to set faster times than they should have. Koichi Hayashida took to Miiverse to explain what had happened and why the competition has been cancelled

“Hello Everyone. Thank you very much for participating in this event. Unfortunately, we confirmed that there is a way to exploit the challenge to achieve a faster time. In the interest of being as fair as possible, we decided to terminate the event without recognizing the fastest time.
