Shigeru Miyamoto and Shinya Takahashi have explained that they may have some more titles that utilise a connection between the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS in the works. We already know that Super Smash Bros will enable players to transfer character data between the two systems, but we haven’t really heard anything else. Here’s what Shigeru Miyamoto and Shinya Takahashi had to say on the subject of connectivity between the two platforms.
“With Smash Bros., because the two games have the same gameplay and the same controls, that game in particular is designed where you’ll want to start playing on the 3DS first and build up your characters there, and then transfer that character data over to the Wii U and play with them there,” Shinya Takahashi, the GM of Nintendo Software Planning & Development, said.
