UK supermarket Waitrose is the latest supermarket in the United Kingdom to drop the pricing of the Wii U due to disappointing sales. The retailer is selling the 32GB Wii U Premium unit with Nintendo Land for £199.99 and the Wii U 8GB Wii U Basic console for £149.99. The Wii U sold just 6,741 this week prior to last week’s 7,030, but with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD edition on its way later this month, we can only hope sales will start to gain momentum again. Today, Nintendo announced the former Japan-only limited edition Pokemon X & Y 3DS XLs would make their way overseas. However, there was no word on whether the game would be bundled with the new red and blue versions, possibly issuing them as digital downloads early as per their previous 3DS bundles. Nintendo UK has clarified the issue on their Twitter page, saying that the games will be sold separately. Both versions will retail at $199.99/£179.99 in North America and Europe on September 27.
