Wayforward has confirmed that the critically acclaimed Shantae for the Gameboy Colour is coming to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in North America on July 18th. The game’s story focuses on a young “half-genie” by the name of Shantae. Having been appointed as the Guardian Genie of a small fishing town, Shantae’s life is fairly quiet. That quickly changes when a gang of pirates, led by the sinister Risky Boots, attacks the town and steals a prototype steam engine from the town’s resident Relic Hunter, Mimic.

Curioso pela conturbada (só que não) história dos bastidores de “Mary Poppins”? Pois então se prepare, vem aí “Saving Mr. Banks”, filme cujo roteiro entrou para o The Black List e logo foi comprado. A história mostra o esforço de Disney em adaptar o livro de Travers para o cinema. A autora (spoiler alert?) odiou ferozmente a versão cinematográfica, principalmente as sequências animadas, tanto que nunca mais permitiu nenhum estúdio americano tocar em qualquer trabalho seu! Dirigido por John Lee Hancock (“Um Sonho Possível”), o filme produzido pelos estúdios Disney tem estreia prevista para 2014 no Brasil.

Nintendo has released another system update for the Wii U console. The update – version 3.1.0 U – is available via wireless Internet connection and brings a couple of improvements, which are listed below. Furthermore, Nintendo has confirmed that “a system update providing further additions to system functionality is planned for release between the end of September and beginning of October.”

Version 3.1.0 U includes the following improvements:

Improvements to Standby Functions:

• The standby functions will now regularly connect to the Internet when the Wii U is powered down to check for available SpotPass data or software and system updates. Super Ubie Land – formerly known as Super ‘Ubi’ Land before its name change – has a brand new trailer. Developed by Notion Games, the trailer specifies a release date for PC, Mac and Linux as August 13, but the Wii U version is still in development and yet to be given a launch date. Notion Games estimate that it’s about two weeks away from finishing – of course, this will be extended for the Wii U edition. However, the final trailer does showcase what to expect from the cutesy-pie platformer, so make sure you check it out above.
