The Resident Evil: Revelations demo has today arrived on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U in both Europe and Australia. The free demo requires 619 MB of free space to download and has 30 limited uses. The demo is expected to hit North America tomorrow, May 14th. Resident Evil: Revelations will be released this month in North America on the 21st, Australia on the 23rd, and Europe on the 24th.

Capcom officially announced yesterday that Phoenix Wright is back to bring justice in the court room to the west in the newly named Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies. However, they also revealed the Nintendo 3DS game will only be available as a digital download. Today, the company has responded to a query from Nintendo Everything asking about the decision to leave retail in the shadows and plough forward with digital-only releases in the Nintendo eShop:

“Historically it’s been tough to attract long-term retail support for Ace Attorney titles. With the release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies we wanted as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the game for as long as possible. With that in mind we have opted for a digital only release via the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Although we store and access material on digital devices, packing information into our heads is not the only way that we store memories and remember things. Transactive memory is a way to find information from other people whom have knowledge on certain topics; you only remember who is best to ask based on who you know and what they know. It is a way to share information verbally; we get information elsewhere that we don’t store inside and it is equal to how we access information online and through technology.
