Nintendo has released a new system update for Wii U. Version 4.0.3 U is available via an Internet connection and promises further improvements to overall system stability and makes other minor adjustments to enhance the user experience. The last major system update for the console was released in September and added a slew of new features, including the ability to receive recommended software and demo titles using SpotPass.

The Bitcoin community is on edge as a leaked document (below) shows that the Mt. Gox exchange, a longtime pillar of the virtual currency, is missing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of customer money and is heading for bankruptcy.

Meanwhile, the leaders of high profile Bitcoin companies, including Coinbase and Circle, issued a public letter promising to re-establish the trust “squandered” by Mt. Gox even as the value of bitcoin continues to fall. As the Winkdex shows, it’s off more than 17 percent in the last 24 hours:

The European Union’s new package of telecoms laws, which includes the bloc’s first explicit net neutrality legislation, has hit a snag – a crucial vote in the European Parliament’s industry committee was supposed to take place on Monday, but was delayed, ostensibly due to a technicality over translations.

That’s the official, reasonably plausible explanation for the two-week delay, in any case. As it happens, the Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) committee is heavily divided on the net neutrality issue, specifically over whether internet service providers should be able to degrade types of traffic to the detriment of consumers who expect the full, as-neutral-as-possible internet.
