Podcast discovery service Player FM is in the process of launching a new version of its Android app that features a completely revamped user interface as well as something that will make Google very happy: in-app indexing, which will allow the search engine to highlight Player FM’s app within its mobile search results and further blur the lines between the web and native apps.

Player FM founder Michael Mahemoff told me Monday that the launch of the new 2.0 version of the app should complete by Monday night. By that time, all upgraded users will have access to a new UI that comes with a card-like interface for podcast episodes, a full-screen mode during playback, a sleep timer and the ability to change the playback speed of a podcast, which I guess could be helpful if you’re using podcasts to learn a foreign language.

Best Buy has revealed the North American box-art for Level 5’s immensely popular Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS. We found out during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Conference that the game will be heading to the United States sometime in October. You can watch a trailer for the game, right here.

I have to say I love the look on the “Problem” singer and would love some tips from Ariana and Demi on how to rock such vibrant hair!

Kotaku recently had the opportunity to sit down with iconic video game developer Shigeru Miyamoto and discuss all things Nintendo. One of the subjects that cropped up in the interview is Nintendo making games that run on a handheld and a console unifying both. This is something Miyamoto suggests that he is interested in and seems like a natural leap forward. Here’s what he had to say.

Miyamoto: “As we move forward, we’re going to look at what we can do to unify [our console and portable] development environments.”

Miyamoto: […] but if you have a more unified development environment and you’re able to make one game that runs on both systems instead of having to make a game for each system, that’s an area of opportunity for us.

Online marketplace Etsy, which has made its name in selling handmade goods from independent vendors, announced on Monday that it acquired A Little Market — an ecommerce shop based in France that also focuses on handmade goods. The Wall Street Journal reported that the acquisition is the largest from Etsy to date, although the terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The company says that A Little Market will continue to function independently, providing domestic goods in France. The company has been on a bit of a buying spree, as it acquired technology ecommerce company Grand St. in April of this year.
