I’ve continued work on this over years, and I think it’s finally getting to the point to put together the walkthrough section with pictures and maps ripped straight from the game. Playing the game through again while doing the walkthrough and taking photos while going along; I’ve played the game so many times, it’s easy to pause it, write a bunch of stuff, and continue. When I feel I have enough for a section, I’ll save and start building the pages. Here’s a sample spread.

Color Everywhere
A Certain Slant of Light Photography
So, this week’s photo challenge revolves around the colors of the rainbow. Color me surprised. Challenge accepted!
I had a fun time digging through past photos to showcase this spectrum of colors. I’ve forgotten just how many photos it takes to maintain a blog over three years (answer: over 800), and it was also great to relive all the places I’ve been, and all the memories that these photos capture.
Hopefully where I fail in color differentiation (blue vs indigo vs violet? c’mon man..), I hope the sheer volume will make up for it. Enjoy! -

Miyamoto Says Star Fox Zero’s Art Style Serves A Purpose And A Lot Of Games Look The Same
We’ve all now got a good look at Star Fox Zero for the Wii U, the brain child of Shigeru Miyamoto in collaboration with Platinum Games. What do you think of the game art style? Because Miyamoto said that the visual style and the gameplay is the main point of the game, and was made of a cartoony nature on purpose. As most games now strive to look super realistic, he thinks they’re all starting to look the same, and presumably wanted Star Fox Zero to stand out that way. Question is, does it stand out for the right reasons or look weaker, as the article suggests?
In a press event Sunday, Miyamoto said that the point of Star Fox Zero is the gameplay and the visual style of the game, which is somewhat cartoony. It was made that way with a purpose. “A lot of games nowadays look…

Superhero Movies Are Pretty Much The Worst
Hold on…it’s Hot Take Friday!
Yes, I’m not a fan of superhero movies and perhaps that puts me in a minority among middle-aged males, but I can’t help it.
Don’t get me wrong…I used to like the superhero films. I remember watching the early versions of Superman with Christopher Reeve and the late 80s-early 90s cheesy Batman movies.
I enjoyed them as a kid. Now, though, I’d probably rather watch a Lifetime movie starring an aging Jason Priestley.
