The Wii U Virtual Console has received its first Nintendo DS title in Japan. Brain Age is now available in the region as a free download through the service. Originally released in 2006, the brain-training game presents quick mental activities that were designed to help players flex their mental muscles. It was inspired by the research of Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, a prominent Japanese neuroscientist. Nintendo has yet to release DS games on Wii U outside Japan.

Luigi’s “Death Stare” From Mario Kart 8 Makes It On Fox News
With Mario Kart 8 selling 1.2 million units last weekend, Nintendo’s flagship title is off to a flying start for the home console. But the game’s success isn’t the talking point for American news broadcaster Fox. Instead, the news team picked up on the Luigi video that’s been making its rounds on the internet.
Dubbed the Luigi “death stare”, it’s quite clear the green-capped plumber is not an Italian you want to be messing with, especially on the track. However, it’s quite clear Waluigi and Luigi are not on the best of terms, considering this slow-motion video, carefully mixed to the Kanye West Bound 2 track. The Year of Luigi may have ended, but the plumber’s showing us he’s still number one.

Classic American Muscle and Majesty at the Greenwich Concours
These are the American classics and muscle cars that stood out for us at last weekend’s Greenwich Concours d’Elegance.
The rumble of many V8 engines ran thickly through the air as the award ceremony began. First the rare Shelby GT350 R came to life, then the furious Roadrunner fired its 440 six pack, all as they prepared to parade in front of excited show-goers. Muscle cars sure have a mighty amount of presence, you can feel it in your bones.
After the Muscles were flexed, we were treated to some 50’s metal in lively colors. Everything from the cliché pink Cadillac to a turquoise Chevy Impala paraded through the show, and I felt a sudden urge for a burger and a nice big milkshake.
Enjoy the photos of all this classic iron!

Google Hangouts go corporate with integration into business apps
If you’re not quite sure how serious Google(s goog) is about wooing business users, here’s another indication that it is: the company is working with enterprise-y software companies to put the Google Hangout button smack dab on their web sites or applications. Got a problem? Bam! You’re in a hangout with customer support. It’s basically a replacement to the live chat buttons you see on most web sites these days, but with video.
Partners here include Zendesk and Zoho. For a quick demo of Hangouts integration with Salesforce.com(s crm) check out the video below although Salesforce.com is not mentioned as a participating partner.
Business customers already incorporating the Hangout button include The Weather Channel and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, Google said.. In much the same vein, Google launched Chromebox for meetings, which also runs Hangouts, earlier this year.
Making Hangouts ubiquitous can promote collaboration, customer service, employee recruiting and other tasks, said Stephen Cho, head of Google Apps and Hangouts…

Developers are cautiously excited about Apple’s new Swift programming language
Now that the dust has settled over the first day of WWDC, news of Apple’s (S AAPL) new Swift programming language has caused quite a stir, especially considering there were no rumors indicating the company was planning the move.
Designed to be the successor to Objective-C, the primary language programmers use to write software for OS X and iOS, the new language will supposedly make coders’ lives easier by making the process of developing software faster and less-painful.
Apple’s senior vice president of software Craig Federighi showed off some graphs that backed up the company’s assertions, although time will will tell if Apple’s statistics are too good to be true.
Speaking my language
Some developer consider this great news because working with Objective-C was a pain:

For others, Swift doesn’t really seem all that unique, as this disinterested HackerNews commenter wrote: “It looks like a hodgepodge of ideas from…

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Announced For Nintendo 3DS
Natsume has revealed the first of its three new Nintendo titles promised leading up to E3. Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will be the next title in the farming-simulation franchise and is due for launch on the Nintendo 3DS later this year. And it won’t be long before we get a sneak peek of the game as it will be showcased at E3 next week in booth 615 – presumably along with the publisher’s other two Nintendo titles.
The game will also be one of two Harvest Moon titles gracing the Nintendo 3DS this year, with XSEED’s Story of Seasons – known in Japan as Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land – arriving in North America. Natsume boasts a fully customisable world in a spectacular three-dimensional setting for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. The publisher’s CEO and president Hiro Maekawa said the following in support of the game:
“Harvest…
