Although we store and access material on digital devices, packing information into our heads is not the only way that we store memories and remember things. Transactive memory is a way to find information from other people whom have knowledge on certain topics; you only remember who is best to ask based on who you know and what they know. It is a way to share information verbally; we get information elsewhere that we don’t store inside and it is equal to how we access information online and through technology. It may be true now that we rely less on face to face transactive memory because online information is more convenient to acquire.
