GameSpot have uploaded a video explaining to those on the fence why they should buy a Wii U. The video initially talks about the poor reception the console has had with the general public and the lack of third party support, but it also explains that it’s the only place to play Nintendo’s stellar first party software. Would this video tempt you to purchase a Wii U if you haven’t already done so?

The Chronicles 2014 Japan Trip Coverage… Part 4: The End of Day 1 of TAS ’14…
The Chronicles© – No Equal Since 2008 | www.stickydiljoe.com
It’s rare to have a weekend update typically here on The Chronicles but since there is still so much to cover, I figured this weekend would be a good time to pump out some more coverage. I still have so many photos to go through and I know the TAS stuff might seem a little repetitive at times but once we get through the coverage, we will have a ton of cool stuff to look at that is totally unrelated to the show itself. My trip took me to so many different areas of Japan that I ended up seeing and experiencing so many unexpected things. I’m blessed to have so many good friends in Japan and have met so many great people that my trip would just not be the same without them….
I got some stuff to take care of on this beautiful California weekend so I’ll keep…

Jake Miller’s Shirtless Guitar Playing @jakemiller
Add your thoughts here… (optional)
How did Jake Miller casually spend his Saturday night? By playing guitar from his balcony with a big smile on his face, giving us a shirtless serenade in the evening. And what a serenade it is. He messages on his Instagram, “Currently on my balcony playin the guitar while watching the sunset and over looking all of Hollywood. Never been happier in my life. I love LA.” We’re loving L.A. right about now, too. Though, honestly, you’re probably not caring about L.A., just admiring that sculpted man strumming that guitar. Aren’t you? -

Udacity founder: MOOCs can help the economy, even if they can’t replace college
Sebastian Thrun was instrumental in building Google’s self-driving car and Glass projects, and helped launch the company’s Google X wing to spearhead “moonshot” projects like Project Loon. But, as he explained on this week’s Structure Show podcast, Thrun’s latest endeavor, online-education startup Udacity, might have an even bigger impact on the world than his futuristic technologies.
The interview covers the promises and limitations of online education — from the misconception that massive open online courses, or MOOCs, should be considered replacements to traditional university educations, to the importance of training all students in the ways of data. Here are the highlights, but anyone interested in the evolution of online education will want to hear the whole thing.
Udacity was never about replacing Stanford
“Part of the problem with the public dialogue is that some people have very quickly…

Android this week: KitKat for Galaxy Note 3; Nexus 7 dock duo; Galaxy S5 home screens
There’s good and bad news for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 owners this week. Android(s goog) 4.4, or KitKat, is appearing in a software update for the handset in more regions. The software first started rolling out in Poland but has found its way to India, South Korea, and Switzerland reports SamMobile. It’s sure to follow in more regions soon. Along with the update, however, are reports of third-party accessories not working the way they did prior to the KitKat upgrade.
Cases in particular appear to have a problem. Many mimic Samsung’s own case for the Note 3, showing data through a windowed cutout when the phone is sleeping, for example. Last October, Samsung was reportedly testing a chip verification system to ensure accessories would be compatible with its devices, but the company never announced such a program. However, a software workaround that bypasses accessory verification appears to fix the…
